Does CBD Oil Get You High?


There is a lot of confusion around CBD oil, and is it the same thing as marijuana? They are not the same thing, and CBD oil will not give you that same high feeling that marijuana does. It is the THC chemical in marijuana that gets you high. By high, it means that you are in an altered state. This could be by euphoria, pleasure, or heightened sensory perception.

Where does this belief that CBD oil can get you high come from? It is believed a lot of confusion comes from the fact that both THC and CBD naturally occur in Cannabis (Marijuana). CBD is isolated from THC. CBD can also be found in the Hemp plant as well. Hemp Has no psychoactive effects. Meaning it is not even possible to get high from Hemp. Most states only allow for CBD from Hemp to be sold legally.

The main reason that CBD oil is so popular now is that there has been research that proves it can help with different medical needs. Such as it has relaxing properties that can be beneficial for someone who suffers from Anxiety or Depression. There has been evidence that some people who suffer from epilepsy found relief from Seizures by using CBD.

CBD is believed to be safe according to the World Health Organization. That does not mean that it does not have potential side effects like any other prescription. The possible side effects include diarrhea, mild nausea, dizziness, excessive fatigue, and dry mouth.
