Having Fun with your Alexa Smart TV

Smart TVs have become increasingly intelligent with more and more applications and capabilities pre-loaded. This article will focus on Alexa Smart TV features and the fun that can be had with them. Many users of smart home applications are familiar with Alexa. But what most users do not know is that Alexa is much more than just an AI virtual assistant. Alexa is a friend. Alexa is here to have some fun. With Alexa Smart TVs, there are several ways you and Alexa can have some fun together.

Talking to Alexa

Start by saying “Alexa, entertain me,” and Alexa will provide you with a random sort of personal entertainment. She will tell you jokes that are very much on the cheesy side and read to you from her personal collection of poetry or stories.

Like any AI virtual assistant, Alexa would not be complete without some of her silly quirks. Alexa will answer almost any question you have to ask her. Such as asking Alexa to tell you the meaning of life or asking her if she has a dog. Side note: Alexa does not have a dog, but she does have a name picked out if she did have one.

Some other fun things to ask Alexa are:

“Why did the chicken cross the road?”

“Do you believe in magic?”

“Which came first, the chicken or the egg?”

Playing with Alexa

If you are looking for a little more in-depth fun with Alexa, you can ask her to play a game. Alexa is stocked with over 5000 games, including games for kids, groups, or individuals to challenge themselves. A variety of these games are available for free, as well some of these games are available to purchase.

Alexa offers trivia, fun facts, music games, photo games and so much more! You can also test your knowledge on a range of subjects by saying “test my history knowledge” or “test my spelling”

Ask Alexa to play games like these:

“Play 20 questions”

“Play song quiz”

“Riddle of the day”

Alexa Extras

Alexa comes equipped with one extra personality. The one, the only, Samuel L. Jackson. Just simply ask Alexa to introduce you to Samuel, and you can find out for yourself all the features Mr. Jackson has to offer.

In the settings menu of Alexa, you can choose whether you want Samuel L. Jackson to use explicit language or not, and that option can always be changed later. Samuel can also set a timer, tell you some of his own jokes, even tell you the weather. All in his own personality.

Ask Samuel these prompts:

“Roast me”

“What can you do”

“Who are you?”

As you can see, Alexa has a lot to offer the Smart TV world. Whether you are a child or an adult, there is lots of fun to be had with your virtual AI assistant.
